JMC demolishes structures at Bagh-e-Bahu, Narwal | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 20: Chief Enforcement Officers on along with field staff of Enforcement Wing on the directions of Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Kiran Wattal undertook an extensive anti-encroachment drive with the help of police from Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu and force from DPL to demolish the unauthorized constructions in Bagh-e- Bahu and Narwal localities. JMC Spokesperson said that during the drive, structures being raised at 2nd floor at main Road Bahe-e-Bahu, Jammu, temporary structure erected by encroaching upon government land for the sale of shoes at Narwal Bye Pass Road, Jammu, the wall being raised upon projection at Sec No. 14 Nanak Nagar Jammu were demolished. Besides this, the team also lifted 09 no's of reharies which were found stationary and without Rehri Licence causing obstruction to the free flow of the traffic at B.R. Ambedkar Chowk. Jammu. Meantime Commissioner, JMC, today paid surprise visit in Kanak Mandi, Partap Garh, Lakhdata Bazar, (Pipal wala Ahata) areas along with Health Officer, Municipal Veterinary Officer, Chief Transport Officer, Executive Engineer(C) and issues related directions to sanitation of wards, removal of mulba lying on roads side, lanes/bye lanes, maintenance of Street Lights, repair and remodeling of drains/lanes. Instructions were given to concerned officer/field staff regarding maintaining of proper sanitation and removal of garbage/mulba from above said places. Beside this, locals of the area also demanded for up gradation of Sulab Shochalaya for ladies. President, Chamber of Commerce, President, Kanak Mandi and other members were also present during the drive. Commissioner, JMC also appealed to General Public to help Jammu Municipal Corporation in maintaining proper sanitation in their respective areas.
