Dogri Sanstha releases book 'Suchchi Samhaal'

JAMMU, Jan 20: Dogri Sanstha Jammu organized a function and released book of short essay titled 'Suchchi Samhaal' in the presence of august gathering of writers, artists and intellectuals representing different languages at KL Sehgal Hall.
According to press release, 'Suchchi-Samhaal' has been penned down by veteran Dogri News Reader, broadcaster and writer Narinder Bhasin whose earlier travelogue in Dogri 'Char Dishan -Char Dhaam' created ripples in the literary circle of Dogri for its spell bound rhythm in the narration of events depicting the lifestyle of different parts of India and the glorious past of our great country.
Convener of Dogri Advisory Board, Sahitya Academy Delhi Prof. Dr. Lalit Magotra presided over the function while Arvinder Singh Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Arts, Culture and Languages were the chief guest on the occasion. President, Dogri Sanstha Jammu, 'Chhatrapal', who is an acclaimed Hindi and Dogri prose writer in the country, welcomed the guests and threw light on the literary journey of Narinder Bhasin and the salient features of the book Succhi Samhaal, whose introduction has been written.
Prof. Lalit Magotra lauded the efforts of author Narinder Bhasin to bring forward the real essence of Dogriat which is based on the firm platform supported by the firm pillars of honesty, hospitality, Valour and harmony. He threw light on some of the essays from the book depicting the traditions and civilization of Duggar, which were flourishing about half a century ago in the regions.
Noted critic Prof. Veena Gupta presented a paper on the released book 'SUCHCHI Samhaal' in which she praised the author Narinder Bhasin for his deep and penetrating insight skill to present the half a century old traditions and culture of Duggar which is being eroded by the wide spread impact of western culture among the youth and authors concern to save the traditional values by the concerted efforts of all.
Chief Guest, Dr. Arvinder Singh praised the efforts of the writer who has tried to awaken the society by throwing light on the various factors which are responsible in dilution of our centuries old civilization and his concern to re-establish the glorious traditions of Duggar.
Hindi and Dogri poet, Dr. Nirmal Vinod, general secretary, Dogri Sanstha Jammu conducted the proceedings in a very fine and artistic way and kept the audience in a spell bound mood with his outstanding literary comments. Gianeshwar, the vice president of sanstha presented the vote of thanks. Earlier, author Narinder Bhasin narrated one of the essays 'Hoon Saade Kun Dene', from the book which was applauded by the gathering.
