PDD employees call on Pr Secy PDD, discusses burning issues 1/29/2015 10:51:57 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 29: Union representatives of Power Development Department (PDD) today called on Principal Secretary to Government PDD, Sandeep Kumar Nayak and outgoing principal secretary Arun Kumar Mehta to discuss various burning issues. Union representatives as well as employees of PDD discussed threadbare with the government officials about the initiation of the process of unbundling without taking the employees into confidence. The employees said, "They had appreciated the step of un-bundling, if it was for the betterment of department, but creating ambiguities as in case of PDC where no norms have been set since 1994, leads to nuisance and chaos in the department." They maintained that the privatization of the department will in no case benefit the state as well as department. "As regards with the working of employees, the annual revenue realization of the department in the State has reached to Rs. 2200.00 crore per annum, which is surely an elaboration as well," they said and added "If the reforms are brought in the department, it will surely increase the revenue in the coming years. President of the union-Abdul Salam Rajpuri and General Secretary-Manzoor Ahmad Bhat claimed that the information provided to the Union was insufficient as far as Non-Gazetted Executive/ Ministerial are concerned.
