After court's directions, FIR against family members lodged
'Newly-wed abduction' case

Jammu, Jan 31: Following the direction of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Jammu, the Kanachak Police today registered FIR against family members of the youth who was allegedly involved in abduction of a newly married girl.
Police sources said that a case under FIR no 8/2015 under sections 452, 147 of RPC and 4/25 of Arms Act against Suram Singh son of Suneet Singh his brother Satpal, Prem Singh son of Suram Singh, Shankar son of Balwant Singh and Sarpanch of lower Barn Balbir Singh. Sources said the family of victim has approached court and following court directions a case has been registered in this regard and further investigations are on.
Pertinently, on January 26 a girl of Kanachak (name withheld) married to a youth of Barn on January 24 was allegedly kidnapped by son of Suram Singh while the couple was on their way to their home. Taking cognizance in this regard following the formal complaint, the concerned Police have registered a case under 366 of RPC at Police Station Kanachak.
