Induction of physical education demanded | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, feb.13: Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) State Secretary, Partap Singh Jamwal has appealed Union HRD Ministry and Governor, Jammu and Kashmir N.N. Vohra through a letter for the introduction of Physical Education in new session in Jammu and Kashmir. BJYM state secretary has already discussed the matter with acting Vice Chancellor, Jammu University R.D. Sharma that the subject of physical education is available in Jammu university as well as higher secondary schools, but it has not been yet introduced in colleges, due to which the students desirous to pursue further studies in the said subject are left with no option and had either to leave the state or switch to some other course. In the letter sent to the Union HRD Ministry and Guv, Partap said that if the subject is introduced at college level, it will be helpful for the students those desirous of taking their degree in the Physical education as it will go against the present trend under which students seek education in this subject only in University level after 10+2 with a gap of 3 years. |
