Jammu, Feb 13: Presiding Officer Fast Track Court Y P kotwal today awarded ten years RI and fine Rs 50,000 who committed rape with an old lady of 75 years. Presiding Officer Fast Track Court Y P kotwal after hearing both the sides observed that the accused had committed a heinous crime and awarded ten years RI and fine Rs 50,000 and also directed that the whole of the fine b e paid to prosecutrix as compensation. According to the police case, on May 28, 2011 when the prosecutrix from Bihar who along with her family members and relatives had come back from the pilgrimage of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, however after reaching back to Railway Station Jammu, she had separated from her relatives, after searching them, when she could not find them, she had requested an unknown person (the accused) that he should take her to Railway Plat Form from where she can find a train for Bihar and on the assurance of the accused that he will take her to Railway Platform, the prosecutrix had accompanied him, however, instead of taking her to plat form, he had taken her to a secluded place and started outraging her modesty and committed rape upon her.
