JPUF to hold dharna for incorporating Jammu related core issues in the CMP
2/13/2015 11:12:58 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 13: Jammu Pradesh United Front (JPUF) shall be holding one day 'dharna' on Sunday at all the district headquarters of Jammu Pradesh to impress upon the alliance to incorporate the Jammu related issues in the Common Minimum Programme (CMP). Addressing the media persons, Ex-MLA and Convenor of JUPF Balwant Mankotia revealed that the front shall keep a strict vigil on the political situation of J&K and make sure that the people of Jammu Pradesh are not betrayed again by any political party. He said that BJP has sought the popular mandate from the people of Jammu Pradesh on the most coveted issue of CM incumbent from Jammu region.
He reminded the media that the BJP had assured the electorate before the Assembly elections to pitch the CM from Jammu Pradesh if they were voted to power and since the people of Jammu had voted overwhelmingly in favour of the BJP keeping their assurances in mind, the onus lies on the BJP to respect the clear cut mandate of the people by at least pressing upon the CM from Jammu Province while chalking out the CMP with the PDP.
He stated that BJP had given the assurances to the people of Jammu Pradesh ahead of Assembly Elections in their manifesto to accord Permanent Resident (state subject rights) to West PaK Refugees, Settlement and rehabilitation POJK refugees and border migrants, delimitation of Assembly Constituencies, abrogation of article 370, non-revocation of AFSPA etc. and subsequently managed to win 25 seats which is a commendable victory of the people of Jammu region and if BJP-PDP alliance could not incorporate the issues favoring Jammu Pradesh in the CMP then in that case it would be a gross betrayal with the people of Jammu region.
He appealed to other likeminded political parties, social organizations, youth and intellectual forums to join the movement against the socio-political discrimination meted out to the people of Jammu Pradesh and participate in the " dharnas" for the cause of the people.
Among others who were presented on the occasion included Rajiv Mahajan (Shri Ram Sena), Rajesh kesari (Shiv Sena Hindustan), Pritam Gupta, Gagan Pratap Singh and Anil Rakwal.
