JMC, JDA jointly conduct anti encroachment drive | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 13: Intensifying the anti encroachment drive to clear the footpaths / pavements from encroachments the Enforcement Staff of Jammu Municipal Corporation and Jammu Development Authority led by Chief Enforcement Officer conducted a joint drive to clear the footpaths / pavements in the areas from Canal Head to Paloura Bridge, Akhnoor Road, Jammu. During the drive the team demolished 07 no's of temporary structures besides removing the iron angles, barbered wires erected by different persons in front of their houses as well as business establishments by encroaching upon pavements in these areas. In addition to this, the team also seized 02 no's of truck loads of goods / articles kept by encroachers and impounded the seized items in the Municipal Yard. The drive has been conducted with the help of police from District Police Lines, Jammu. Beside this MVO on the direction of Municipal Commissioner conducted a surprise drive against unhygienic meat in the areas of Roop Nagar, Janipur, Durga Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, B.C. Road, Subash Nagar and New Plot area. 32 kg of unhygienic meat seized and discarded and fine to the tune of Rs. 3800 has been realized from the defaulters and also appealed to all the meat sellers maintain hygienic condition within their shops because human eatable items should be stored or sell in hygienic condition. |
