JAMMU, Feb 13: Chairperson J&K Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA), K. Vijaya today convened a meeting to review arrangements for 25th Police Public Mela to be held in Jammu. Besides PWWA members the meeting was attended by mela arrangement committee. Addressing the meeting, Vijaya stressed for collective efforts for making the event a grand success. She assured cooperation from PWWA in this regard. Vijaya sought details from arrangement committee regarding different arrangements being put in place by them and asked for synergy among all ranks related with the conduct of event. Inspector General of Police, Armed Jammu, Shafqat Ali Watali, who is the Chairman of the arrangement committee, apprised the meeting of the arrangements. He said that different units of the organisation would be establishing their stalls during the mela besides displaying items representing all regions of the State. Chairperson PWWA asked the arrangement committee to monitor and ensure that quality products are put for sale at reasonable rates. She also asked for maintaining hygiene in and around the venue. Among others the meeting was attended by staff officer to DIG Jammu, Rajnesh Pran, AIG (Welfare) PHQ, Rajeshwar Singh, staff officer to IGP Jammu, Ashok Kumar, Commandant IRP 15th Bn.
