DB issues directives regarding better care of 'Old Age Home'

Jammu, Feb 13 (JNF): In a Public Interest Litigation filed by Viklang Chattra Trust through its Organizer Satya Pal Saraf regarding better care of old age home, a Division Bench (DB) of High Court comprising Chief Justice N. Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Bansi Lal Bhat directed Divisional Commissioner, Jammu to consider the prayer made by the Khukaran Chairtable Trust wherein the applicant was willing to donate 10 kanal of land at Katal Batla and asked to take decision within three weeks. After hearing Sr Adv Sunil Sethi for the PIL whereas Sr AAG Gagan Basotra for the state, the Division Bench (DB) directed Divisional Commissioner, Jammu to consider the prayer made by the Khukaran Chairtable Trust wherein the applicant was willing to donate 10 kanal of land at Katal Batla and a decision be taken within three weeks.
Division Bench also directed Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir to expedite the identification of 16 kanal suitable lands with Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama, on priority basis and the report in that respect to be filed within three weeks.
