J&K cycle expedition team reaches Delhi 2/13/2015 11:36:03 PM Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Feb 13: The Cycle expedition "Sailab Se Salamati Tak'" (from deluge to recovery) under operation Sadbhavana comprising of 19 Kashmiri youth and nine Army personnel and interacted with Gen Dalbir Singh, Chief of the Army Staff at Army Headquarters, New Delhi. To commemorate the joint efforts of Jawan and Awaam in saving the precious human lives in the Kashmir valley during the recent flash floods, the cycle expedition from Srinagar to Delhi via Jammu, Jalandhar and Ambala was planned as an expression of grit with which Kashmir fought the floods and how youth symbolised the march towards 'well being' and 'restoration'. The participants of the expedition created awareness on literature, customs and traditions of Kashmir en-route and at Delhi. The cyclists undertook an ardous road journey on their bikes, cycling 975 Km in 11 days. These youths will participate in the Annual cultural Festival 'Mecca' of the Hindu college Delhi and will be attending 'Mushaira' the literary festival of the college centred around Kashmir.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
