Jammu, Feb 13: The senior leaders constituting the Core Group of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) met here on Friday to finalize the names of party nominees for the upcoming MLC polls.
Sources told Early Times the Core group met here at the residence of Kavinder Gupta. The meeting, sources said, was attended by by Prof Nirmal Singh, Kavinder Gupta, Bali Bhagat, Rajeev Jasrotia and Ashok Koul.
During the meeting the party leaders discussed the names of party nominees for the MLC polls and finalised the names for each seat.
The state unit, sources said, would forward the names of the party nominees to the party high command after which the final announcement would be made.
The list of probable nominees for the MLC seats are former state BJP President Ashok Khajuria, Chander Mohan Sharma, Vibodh Gupta, Yudhvir Sethi, Rajni Sethi, Priya Sethi are doing the rounds of corridors of power. |
