| 66 month prediction of 'Great NC Astrologer' finally buried! | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, March 1: Finally, the credibility of 'great astrologer' who whispered in the ears of ex-Political Advisor and now Provincial President of National Conference (NC) Devinder Singh Rana of Omar Abdullah taking over reigns of power in Jammu and Kashmir for another 66 months is at stake.
His prediction has gone completely wrong and PDP Patron Mufti Mohammed Sayeed has taken over as 12th Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. He seems to have read the lines wrong and seemingly made a vain bid to appease the ex-Political Advisor, who not only believed in this astrological prediction but shared it not only with party colleagues but also purportedly with the ex-Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
He would often be heard talking about fresh 66 months of political empowerment of NC working President.
Much before the assembly elections results were declared on December 23, one always found ex-Political Advisor and now MLA Nagrota Devinder Singh Rana talking high about the integrity and honesty of the 'great astrologer' whose name continues to be mystery. 'None but Omar Abdullah will be the next Chief Minister of J&K. No party would be in a position to form government without our support. Cards will always remain with NC," used to be prophetic words of NC leader.
He would even name constituencies across the state where, according to his mathematical and arithmetical calculations, NC was going to win. Even few minutes with Rana would make you forget the disastrous 6 years of NC regime in Jammu and Kashmir. Many Wiseman, especially those who believed, he had failed as Chief Minister and wrecked havoc with administrative institutions and who earnestly wanted to see Omar Abdullah out of office would return disappointed and curse the destiny for not being in favour of change.
The 'great astrologer' enjoyed trust and faith of the ex-Political Advisor. Rana would quote the earlier accurate predictions of this 'great astrologer' and then, desperately try to convince the agitated workers that NC would be back in power. Those who are still close to him maintain that Rana still believes that an opportunity is round the corner for him and the party which he heads in Jammu region despite minimal political experience.
It needs no mention that Rana was elevated as Provincial president of NC merely because of his proximity with Omar Abdullah, something which he refuses to fact and something which is a hard fact. And what amazes one the most is belief of a pure businessman and a foreign degree holder in the predictions of a 'Great Astrologer'. More painful is the manner in which this prediction was spread all over the state to convince one and all that Omar was likely to continue.
It needs to be found out what would now be fate of the 'Great Astrologer' who predicted doom of Mufti Mohammed Sayeed despite anti-incumbency being at its highest and local journalists being virtually at war with the ex-Chief Minister. Such was the love-hate relationship that Omar angrily told the Journalists in Srinagar after Lok Sabha debacle that he was not going to give them the good news of demitting office which they had been waiting for anxiously and that he would be continuing in office till the expiry of his term in December 2014.
He too seemingly had faith in the 'Great Astrologer' who had been making all kinds of predictions and virtually, telling the entire world that none in New Delhi is bothered about Jammu and Kashmir. "What South and North block? No one is worried about J&K in New Delhi. NC will remain in power for next 18 years. PDP is likely to get divided into three groups. And what not and what not," the 'Great Astrologer' would announce now and then.
But New Delhi has broken even this dream of the "great astrologer'. Now it is not known whether this 'Great Astrologer' would again be able to earn the trust and faith of the ex-Political Advisor and currently, Provincial President of NC Devinder Singh Rana. And more so, whether or not, Rana would again consult this 'Great Astrologer' or find new one. He could even consult the top and reputed astrologers of the country for knowing what exactly lies in the fate of NC. |
