Jammu, Mar 21: Shazar shall be playing against Shriya in the women's singles final in the ongoing Open Table Tennis Tournament, organised by Jammu Police under Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Stag Academy, here tomorrow.
Earlier, in the semifinals, Shazar outplayed Archita in straight sets of 11-05, 11-06 while Shriya trounced Ashmit Kour 11-05, 11-06. In the quarterfinals, Shirya beat Meghna 11-05, 11-07 and Ashmit Kour downed Iknoor Kour 14-12, 11-06.
Meanwhile, in under-17 boys' category, Manan shall take on Asad in the final. In semifinals, played today, Manan defeated Ketan 11-0, 11-07, 11-08 and Asad defeated Arnav Rohmetra 11-05, 11-05, 11-06. Quarterfinals: Asad bt Aryan Verma 11-04, 9-11, 11-06; Arnav Rohmetra bt Anant 11-09, 11-07.
In under-14 boys' event, Anant Rohmetra and Akhilesh have made it to the final. In semifinals, Anant trounced Saksham 11-07, 11-08 while Akhilesh beat Shivam Goel (12-10, 14-12) in a well contested game. |
