Jammu, Mar 21 : Following the complaint of a woman, police today registered a case against a cop who is Personal Security officer (PSO) of a former Congress MLC. A case under FIR No 59/15 under sections 366, 343 and 376 of RPC has been registered at Gandhi Nagar police station against him. Police sources said that a woman of Udhampur complained that cop Shakeel Khan, who is ex-MLC's PSO, lured her and took her to a quarter at Gulshan Ground.
The woman alleged that Shakeel kept her in captivity, assaulted her and raped her with his associate Altaf. "After raping, both the persons threatened her of dire consequence if she reported the matter to police and escaped from the spot leaving her behind her", she alleged. Police said that a case in this connection has been registered and during investigation it came to light that the police quarter is allotted in the name of another constable Imtiyaz Khan of Poonch who is presently posted in Shopian district and is relative of Shakeel. |
