Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 21: Highlighting numerous problems, residents of Upper Roop Nagar, Sector 4 Welfare Committee have expressed the hope that Municipal Commissioner, Jammu Sojnya Kumar Sharma will initiate efforts to solve their civic problems. At a meeting, held under the chairmanship of Narinder Sharma, president Upper Roop Nagar Sector 4 Welfare Committee, members hoped that the newly appointed Municipal Commissioner, Jammu will bring discernible improvements in maintenance of cleanliness and hygienic conditions in the locality. Meeting urged Sojnya to personally assess problems of the residents. Despite payment of scavenging charges, Safaikaramcharis do not visit regularly and result of that drains remain choked for days together. Heaps of garbage tells apathy of the Corporation negligence. In absence of garbage bins, people throw house wastage in vacant plots. At most of places streetlights in lanes and bye-lanes and roads in sector 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are defective and need immediate attention of the Corporation. Residents appealed to Municipal Corporation for immediately mitigating their difficulties. |
