Jammu, Mar 21: Two women and a boy were killed when an avalanche hit the Mahoo area in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday morning. According to police sources, all the three residents of Bajnari hamlet of Banihal Tehsil in Ramban district, got buried under a massive avalanche.The deceased have been identified as Gulshan Begum (35) w/o Ghulam Qadir, Hazara (25) w/o Liaqat and Bilam Ahmed (8) son of Ghulam Qadir. Sources said that the incident took place at 11:30 am when trio was on way to the village Mahoo area.Soon after having information , a police team and locals of the area rushed to the spot, but it took them almost three hours to dig them out. |
