Jammu, Apr 21 : Member Parliament, Rajya Sabha Shamsher Singh Manhas today visited Rajiv Gandhi Sports museum set up at 41-B, Karan Nagar Extension by Prof. Ashutosh Sharma. Manhas appreciated the efforts of Sharma since 1968 to establish a unique museum which exhibits photographs of dignitaries of various countries, medals, trophies, mementoes of Sharma during his 60 years of sports carrier. Manhas was all in praise of Sharma for his hard work, dedication that gives new heights to sports in the state as well as country. Manhas also promised to provide an alternative lands for the shifting of the same museum to make it as a heritage site so that people from all across the state and country will visit this site in future. Presidents, Secretaries and members of the Sports fraternity were also present on the occasion. Among them were Kiran Watal, S.S. Gill, Vikas Gupta, Subash Sharma. Vijay Saraf and Ashok Khajuria, MLC also visited and lauded the efforts made by Prof. Ashutosh Sharma in maintain the museum. |
