Jammu, Apr 21 : Dogra Higher Secondary School (DHSS) Shastri Nagar, Jammu, today organized a "Felicitation function" to honour the outstanding students of the school who excelled in class 8th Examination conducted by the District Institute Of Education & Training Jammu by securing Positions & Distinctions.
Gulchain Singh Charak Former Minister Hr. Education J&K Govt. was the Chief Guest on this occasion, who congratulated the Principal, staff, students and the proud parents of the students for the spectacular results in the Middle Standard Examination. He lauded the efforts of the Principal and the staff in guiding the students towards Academic Excellence in almost all the subjects of the curricula thus enabling the most of the students to qualify the Board examination with positions and distinctions. The Chief Guest distributed prizes to the meritorious students as a gesture of appreciation and recognition for their academic achievements. The Chief Guest was kind enough to announce a cash reward of Rs. 50,000/- on the occasion for academic pursuits of the school. The Principal of the institution, Devinder Kour while highlighting the academic performance of the students said that the teaching methodology of the teachers and "extra coaching", a special feature of the school which is conducted after the school hours where in teachers help the students to complete their homework and to prepare for any forthcoming exams or tests, have also played pivotal role in achieving this goal besides the efforts put in by our hardworking students. She also thanked Surekha Charak, President Dogra Academy Society, Samar Dev Singh, Secretary Dogra Educational Trust and Uma katal, Manager Rich Harvest Schools for all the support and guidance.
The function concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, M.D of the school. |
