Jammu, Apr 21 : Annual inter-school district level sports meet in the discipline of Taekwondo started today at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS).
Around 50 boys drawn from different educational institutions of Jammu district are taking part in this competition being held in two age groups of under-14 and under-17 year.
Earlier, the competition was declared open by District Officer, Sukhdev Raj Sharma. Speaking to the gathering of participants, he said that the main objective of these competitions was to explore the talent of young students so as to enable them to excel at the national level.
