Jammu, Apr 21: Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha today concluded four days long Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti part Yagyopaveet here at Chanakya Chowk, Prade.
According to press release, Sabha president VP Sharma said that during the occasion the sacred thread to the eligible young Hindu boys was puton strictly according to vedic Hindu rites. These youth were also ordained into Gayatri Mantra by the distinguished Pandits, a yagyopaveet were also performed. Jammu Muncipal Corporation, Commissioner Sojyanya Sharma was the chief guest while Pawan Shastri was the guest of honour.
He further said that the young boys were told that beside spiritual/ religious responsibilities, the yagyopaveet also imposes a duty to work for the humanity, nation, honesty and eradiction of social evils.
Ved Parkash Sharma along with his team Verinder Mohan Magotra, Satya Paul Sharam, Nanak Chand Sharma, ML Sharma , PC Sharma and Chander Mohan Sharma were also present on the occasion. |
