Jammu, Apr 21: The J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu today in the High Court Jammu held a press Conference in the backdrop of abduction and assault on Dr. Paramjit Singh Khera Advocate by 18 miscreants, yesterday evening near Pawan Fruit Ice Cream Bakshi Nagar. According to press release, on the intervention of the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu to lodge an FIR in the incident, a FIR has been registered with Police Station Bakshi Nagar, Jammu and pursuant to that arrest of only 2 accused have been made, the remaining accused are absconding causing serious threat to the security of the victim lawyer. This incident has exposed the tall claims of the Police authorities concerning the security of Advocates both in the Court premises as well as outside also, Bar association members observed. It was discussed in the Press Conference that such illegal attacks will not be tolerated and J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu strongly condemned the Attack. It was further decided that if rest of the accused persons are not arrested by 10 AM on 22-04-2015JKHCBA, Jammu will take steps to intensify the measures in order to provide Justice to the fellow Advocate, which may lead to mass agitation, protest against the concerned authorities. It was also suggested that Police should perform their duties without any Political interference. The meeting was attended by office bearers President Abhinav Sharma, Vice President Pranav Kohli, General Secretary A.P. Singh, Joint Secretary Depesh Singh Pawar, Cashier Rahul Sharma, YLA President Daljeet Singh Manhas and Vice President YLA Pardeep Majotra and other members of the Association. |
