Jammu, Apr 21: Inderpal Kour, a women contesting candidate for Cantonment Board elections, filed her nomination papers here today.
Accompanied by a large number of people and supporters in the form of a rally, Kour filed her nomination in the office of Cantonment Board.
Speaking on the occasion, Kour assured all around development of the ward and immediate redressal of the grievances, being faced by the people. She appealed to the gathering to support her in the ensuing elections for the overall welfare of the area.
It is pertinent to mention here that the elections of the Cantonment Board will be held on May 17, 2015 and the results will be declared on the same day, after the elections. In elections, a total of 7 members would be elected from the 7 wards of the area, one from each ward. Al the elected members will later elect a Chairman among them for the Board. |
