JAMMU, Apr 23: The senior and deserving people who sided with the Party through every thick and thin have been ignored by the BJP while making selections either to Upper House or the Kissan Board. According to sources there is a lot of resentment among the party men against the decision as some deserving people have been ignored and their loyalty not given any credit. Sources said recently party ignored Bansi Lal Bharti a hardcore RSS man who gave his life to BJP and Sangh and remained associated to it since his childhood. Bharti was informed by senior Party leaders both in the State and from Union Capital that his name has been finalized but last movement a new entrant in the Party was entertained in his place, sources added. This gave rude shock to Bharti, his family members and relatives, sources said, adding that family members could not come out for days together as the friends and relatives of the BJP leader had come to greet him after he was given assurance by the senior party leadership. Sources said BJP continued to distract the senior and deserving Party men while making selections as vice chairman of Kissan Board also. A senior and deserving leader of the Party who heads the Kissan Morcha of the Party and who was the first runner for the post of vice chairman of the Kissan Board has been ignored at last minute. Sources said Karan Singh who is the president of BJP Kissan Morcha and a very staunch activist of the Party was informed upto last minute that he is the only contender for the post and the Party does not consider any one else. While making the selection a lesser known person was appointed as vice chairman of the Board while Mr Singh was totally ignored, sources added. Sources said the only qualification of the new VC of the Kissan Board was that he was in the good books of one of the senior ministers of the Party having key role in functioning of the coalition and decision making matters. The decision has however annoyed the partymen also including the supporters of Karan Singh, sources added. Sources said that the public resentment is so increasing that two days back people raised slogans against the Deputy Chief Minister when he visited BJP office to have a public darbar there. Earlier the people also protested against the BJP MLA when he visited the Party office. The protestors accused the Party leaders of making false promises. |
