| KC International School celebrates World Earth day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 23 : Earth Day was celebrated in K.C International School to make students aware about the importance of our Mother Planet and its environment. A special assembly was held in the school campus. It started with the prayer followed by the thought of the day and news. Children presented a short skit on Save Environment. Some students spoke on the topic related to Earth. The students also white washed the trunk of the trees and took out a rally in the school premises during recess that marked and showed their respect for the Mother Earth. They held banners with thought provoking slogans which is a wakeup call and will help to reinforce the need to take some action to save our precious Earth. The power was shut off for half an hour from 10:30 am to 11:00 am to save electricity. Roots and Shoots Eco Club was also installed in the school .Through the club; the school has made a commitment towards saving Earth. The students undertook a signature drive wherein the visitors coming to the school were motivated to pledge to save the Earth. The Principal, Ms. Maya Mishra also gave stress on making the efforts to keep our environment clean and green. |
