JAMMU, Apr 23: Fabulous prizes of the 25th Police Public Mela, which was held at Gulshan Ground Jammu on March 22, 2015 were distributed among the winners by the Director General of Police, K. Rajendra, Kumar, Chairperson, Police Parivar, K. Vijaya Rajendra. Senior police officers and PWWA members at an impressive function held at Officers Mess Gulshan Ground here this evening.
On this occasion Rajendra and K. Vijaya interacted with the winners who had come from across the State and congratulated them. They also extended good wishes to them for their happy and prosperous life.
Speaking on the occasion, the DGP threw light on the aims of organizing Police Public Melas and the transparent raffle draw. He said that the amounts raised by the Melas are utilized for a noble cause to provide assistance to the next of kins (NOKs) of police martyrs, besides expending on the purchase of fabulous prizes and advised them to make best use of these prizes. The winners hailed the transparent raffle draw procedure adopted by the police organization.
The prizes distributed among the winners include Bumper prize containing Car Honda Amaze with family pack to Mr. Abdul Rashid of District Police Doda. First prize Brio Cars were handed over to Dy. SP Jeetan Ji Matoo of Crime Wing and Arif Chandal of District Udhampur.
Similarly, the second prize Dastun Go Car was given to Mohammad Shakoor of SDRF and the 4th prize motor cycles were handed over to Vijay Kumar of Security and Surinder Singh of GRP Udhampur.
Likewise, 5th prize Scooty handed over to Mr.Varinder Gupta of Kathua and Mohammad Afzal of IRP 11 Bn. 6th prize LED handed over to Mr. Mohammad Imtiyaz Wani of Reasi, Mr. Shalinder Singh of AP 3rd Bn. and Mst. Raja Bano of Budgam.
7th prize laptop was handed over to Mohammad Ikhlaq of Poonch. 8th prize ACs were handed over to Umer Jan of Khandroo and Jagbir Singh of Jammu. 9th prize tab was also given to Ghulam Abbas of district Kishtiwar.
The other prizes were also awarded to the winners on the occasion. Among others, the function was attended by ADGPs, SP Vaid, SM Sahai, Dilbag Singh and L. Mohanti, IGPs, Dr. B. Srinivas, AK Choudhary, HK Lohia, MS Salaria, Yoginder Koul, MA Khan, Mekesh Singh, Sunil Kumar, Danish Rana, SA Watali and MA Ganai, DIG Jammu, SA Beig, AIGPs, Sheikh Junaid Mahmood, Rajeshwar Singh, Sheikh Zulifar Azad, Dy. SP (Welfare), Madhu Bandral and other police officers. |
