Jammu, May 5 : Indira Sagar Secondary School, Rajpura Jammu, today, organised a colourful competition of Dogra cultural programmes in the school premises in connection with Budh Purnima. The students of Indira Sagar Instt., Kidzone International and Jammu Convent School with more than 100 students from class Pre Nursery to class 10th participated in the said competition. The programme begins with the traditional lighting of lamp by all the head of the institutions jointly and the welcome address was given by Siddhanth, MD Kidzone Intl. Jammu. The competition was participated by all the students with enthusiasm. A special item of the event was performed with Dogri songs wherein the students of Indira Sagar Institute Rajpura, Jammu wore traditional dogra Dress and Dogra Ornaments. The members of the organising committee constituted for the Cultural competition, played a vital role in making the function a grand and successful show. The committee included Raman Kumar, Mamta Thakur, Kanchan Mehra, Seema Sharma, Minakshi Sharma, Pinki Devi, Meenu Aima, Dev Shakti, Jyoti Bala, Monika , Rajni Sharma, Preeti, Cheenu Sharma, Chaya Gupta, Kuldip Singh. The parents and other local dignitaries appreciated the initiatives taken by the Indira Sagar Students to preserve the Dogra Culture and Traditions. All the participating children were awarded participation certificate, trophies and refreshment. The vote of thanks was presented by Veena Sharma, Principal organising Instt. |
