Best ever arrangements by govt in last 20 years: Dharmarth Trust

Srinagar, May 26: Around 30,000 Kashmir Pandits paid obeisance at annual Kheer-Bawani Mela in Tulmula Ganderbal Tuesday as DHARMARTH trust claimed best ever arrangements for the occasion in the past twenty years.
On the concluding day of Kheer-Bawani Mela Tuesday, around 10,000 Kashmiri Pandits
including men, woman and children paid obeisance to the Holy Goddess Rangya Devi despite ongoing inclement weather in
Kashmir.
Talking to Early Times, R.L Bhan, General Manager of Dharmath Trust which looks after arrangements during Kheerbawani Mela said that due to bad weather and worst condition of Srinagar-Jammu National Highway less pilgrims could reach on time to pay obeisance at Kheerbawani Mela till today. However many pilgrims from different parts of the country and from Kashmir are likely to reach here tomorrow and the day after to take the total number of pilgrimsm to vist the shrine to 30,000.
"The State Government has made best ever arrangements in last 20 years this year. For the first time we saw uninterrupted electric supply and water supply. Buses were available, proper cleaning was undertaken around temple premises. Ministers and officials continue to visit here to look after arrangements," added R.L Bhan.
During three day Kheerbawani Mela which concluded today officially,Migrant Kashmiri Pandits who had come from different parts of the state and country offered traditional milk preparation called 'Kheer' and floral tributes at the shrine and could be seen praying for peace, prosperity for the people in general.
Vijay Kaul, a migrant talked about the present socio-political scenario of Kashmir saying 'successive governments in the state after the migration of Kashmir Pandits did little or nothing for the return of the Pandit community. One Rajesh Kumar presently living in Mumbai with his family said that 'he does not remember anything about how Kashmiri Pandits were forced to leave Kashmir, but since my childhood I have heard my parents praying to return to Kashmir despite the fact return of migrant Pandits is not possible now.
Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Peoples Democratic Party Minister (PDP) of Coalition government who visited Kheerbawani include, Chowdhry lal Singh,Priya Sethi,Sukhnandan Kumar,Nayeem Akhter, Asiya Naqash and Central Kahmir's Parliament Member Tari Hammed Qara, besides Law Minister Basharat Bukhari. Hundreds of local Muslims of different Villages of central Kashmir's Ganderbal District also reached Kheerbawani today to greet their Pandits brothers, besides Muslims of other Districts of Kashmir had also reached to accompany their Pandits friends to pay obeisance at Shrine.
Dharmath trust has erected 30 tents for accommodation of pilgrims and opened all rooms and halls during these days while as government has provided 11 tents to the Trust, besides administration, Naag-Dandi Trust of Swami Vivekananda, R.R unit of Army and Anil Amla Trust are proving fee meals to Pilgrims
