JAMMU, June 23: BJYM State Secretary, Partap Singh Jamwal, through a written letter appealed the Director General (DG) of Police, K Rajendra to order a time bound inquiry into the killing of a youth in Domana here in Jammu.
Partap said, "Police has lodged an FIR against only one police personnel whereas the other cop involved in the killing of the youth is roaming scot-free owing to which resentment is brewing among the Megh community".
"Under whose direction, the police personnel shot fire at the youth Tarsem Lal, who was killed on Sunday, 21 June, 2015 is a million dollar question and the same should be properly investigated so that actual culprits can be put behind the bars", Partap questioned.
He said if such acts of police go unnoticed, there will be no trust among the commoners for the police whose duty is to ensure security of the general public.
Partap appealed DGP, K Rajendra to personally intervene into the matter and book the actual culprits for taking law into their hand. |
