Early Times Report

Kishtwar, June 23: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Javed Khan today ordered immediate suspension of several employees found absent during a surprise visit of Tehsildar Nagsini and sought an explanation from Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) for remaining absent from duty. The DC also issued a direction to District Treasury Officer to stop the salaries of all the absent employees till the outcome of the inquiry to be conducted by Assistant Commissioner Revenue .
As per the details available with "Early Times", the DC vide letter No. DCK/Adm/15/799-807 dated 23-06-2015 order immediate suspension of all employees posted at Health and Family Welfare Centre Padyarna and ICDS Centre Nagsini who found absent during the surprise visit of Tehsildar Nagsini yesterday.
As per the report submitted by Tehsildar Nagsini Anurada Thakur to Deputy Commissioner that on the surprise checking conducted by her yesterday, the health and family welfare centre Padyarna and ICDS centre Nagsini were found locked, beside CDPO was also found absent from the duty. Acting on the complaint forwarded by Tehsildar Nagsini, DC asked CDPO Nagsini to submit an explanation for remaining absent from duty, besides asked BMO to explain for not conducting the supervision of the health intuitions falling under her jurisdiction. Earlier in similar case, DC ordered immediate suspension of employees found absent in Palmar area of Kishtwar during a surprise visit conducted by Tehsildar Kishtwar on 17-06-2015 wherein at Middle School Kulna out of six employees five including Ajaz Ahmed Kripak, Dinesh Singh Sambyal, Mudasir Rashid, Sonu Kumar and Rajan Kumar found absent, similarly at High School Patimhala Viveka Lekha and Sunita Kumari were also found absent while Anganwari center in the area were also found locked. It is pertinent to mention that incumbent Deputy Commissioner after taking over the charge of Kishtwar administration suspended nearly 500 employees, but majority of them manage to revoke their suspension either through political masters or by other means of other influence and at the end of the day, the exercise of suspension did not yield any result since no body was punished among these absentees to set the house in order which can be judged from continuous glaring absenteeism culture in Kishtwar.
