Jammu, July 21: Speaker, J&K Legislative Assembly and MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta felicitated newly elected members of District Gurudwara Prabandak Committee. According to press release, the felicitation function was held at head office, Gurudwara Yaadgar Sri Guru Nanak Dev, Chand Nagar and attended by President, S. Jagjeet Singh, Vice-President, S. Kuldeep Singh, General Secretary, S. Mahinder Singh; Treasurer, S. Manmohan Singh; Chief Patron, Jathedar Mohinder Singh; S. Gurcharan Singh, S. Dara Singh, Vinay Gupta, Jaideep Sharma, Er Ashwani Khosla and other prominent citizens of the area. Chairman of the committee, S. Tarlochan Singh Wazir while speaking on the occasion thanked Gupta for his whole hearted support in the recently concluded elections and extended his gratitude to the voters for their support and putting faith in them and said that they will work day and night for the welfare of the community. Members of the committee put forth few demands to be taken up with the administration for its early redressal, major demands were setting up of skill development institute for the minority community, fair and timely completion of enquiry of 4th June incident. Kavinder Gupta felicitated them and assured that a skill development institute will be set up in Jammu very soon which will help in reducing the increasing unemployment and anxiety among the youth and their all other genuine demands will be fulfilled at the earliest. He asked them to work for the welfare and the development of the Sikh community in particular and society as a whole and assured his full cooperation in this endeavor. |
