Two booked for 'dangerous driving' in Kishtwar | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, July 21: Acting on the public complaints, Kishtwar police today booked the driver and owner of the vehicle plying on Kishtwar-Thakrie route for alleged overloading and putting the lives of passengers at risk. As per the details available with "Early Times", Kishtwar police today registered an FIR No. 120 U/S 279/336 RPC against the driver and the owner of the vehicle bearing registration No JK17-0545 after general public forwarded the photographs of overloaded vehicle plying on Kishtwar-Thakrie route to senior police officers. SP Kishtwar Yougal Manhas while talking to this reporter confirmed the registration of an FIR at police station Kishtwar against the driver and vehicle owner for overloading and putting the lives of innocent people traveling on this route at risk. He also appreciated the initiative and concern of general public for sending the photographs of vehicle involved in overloading. However when the last report came in, no arrest has been made by the police. Pertinent to mention that Kishtwar police in last one month has challaned over 1000 vehicles for violating the traffic norms across the District including over speeding, lack of documents, overloading, non use of helmets and other traffic violators. |
