Retd DySP knocked to death 7/21/2015 11:45:10 PM Early Times Report Jammu, July 21: A retired Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) was knocked to death by an over speeded load carrier near marble Market this afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Vijay Kumar Gupta (64) son of Ram Nath of Old Gurha Bakshi Nagar. Police said that the retired police official Vijay was driving a scooty bearing registration number JK02AX-1427 which was hit by a load carrier bearing registration number JK02W-6649 near marble market resulting severe injuries to scooty driver. Police said that driver of the load carrier immediately shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) where he was declared as brought dead. After legal formalities, the body of deceased was handed over to family members for last rites.
