Early Times Report JAMMU, July 21: Following the court directions, the Janipur police today registered a case against a woman for cheating her second husband in the shape of starting into new relationship by not getting legally divorced. Police said that the complainant one Raj Kumar s/o Late Mohan Lal of Janipur Colony has filed a petition seeking directions from court on this July 10, alleging that his wife has cheated him by not revealing that she has got legally divorced. As per counsel of the complainant Surinder Gupta, the aggrieved knocked the door of the court, alleging that her wife namely Jyoti Devi of Migrant Camp, Jagti, who claimed to be a divorcee, proposed him to for marriage. It was after few months of their marriage a man claiming to be her legal husband knocked his residence and even had threatened to file criminal proceedings against him for committing the offices of abducting his wife -Jyoti. The complainant further said submitted to court that after this incident he asked Jyoti to produce the documentary evidence of her legal divorce from her ex husband but she failed. Based on the complaint, the court had directed the SHO Janipur to lodge FIR u/s 420 RPC against the alleged accused after investigation u/s 156 (3) RPC. |
