Early Times Report Kathua, Aug 29: Cross border firing in Akhnoor and Poonch sector has gripped people of Hiranagar and Kathua sector in panic who after receiving specific instructions from BSF, have left their houses besides agriculture land. Like past, they shifted their minors to relatives' houses in safe place and expressed resentment against Union government apathy. Jatinder kumar a farmer, said people used to leave their house deserted and move towards safe places during ceasefire violation. He said its common act wherein people are fed up to regular migration. He said Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, during his visit at Hiranagar, made promise to allot 5 marlas plot to each cross border firing affected family in safe place. He said people supported BJP but party has forgotten the public. Tirth Singh, a senior citizen, expressed resentment against Union government and said farmers could not cultivate their field properly as regular alert and tensed situation affect harvesting. Subash Singh, another villager alleged on Dr Jatendra Singh, sitting Member of Parliament to make people fool by ensuring to announce 5 Marlas plot to each affected family as nothing has been done till day. Singh said people are fed up to ceasefire violation and demanded strict action against Pakistan to bring respite from cross border firings. |
