Kishtwar, Aug 29: A prominent workers union in Kishtwar on Saturday criticised the office of Chief Education Officer for making attachments of some influential teachers in CEO and ZEO offices in violation of the norms.
Joginder Bhandari, chairman of the Chinar Power Projects Workers Union, in a statement said that some influential teachers, including physical education teachers, have been attached in the CEO and the ZEO offices on the behest of MoS Revenue, R&B, Sunil Sharma.
He said that even some teachers are avoiding their duties and running their private schools and business and are seen roaming with the minister.
"Sharma's close relative namely Vikram Badyal, who has been recently appointed as general line teacher and was posted at Palmar, was attached in no time at High School Bandarana," Bhandari said.
He that an ReT teacher namely Sanjeet Kumar "who is long time friend of the minister" is holding the charge of mid day meal in ZEO Kishtwar and also runs a private computer shop at Malik Market Kishtwar.
"Suresh Kumar, a physical education teacher posted at city middle school Kishtwar has got attached at ZEO office Kishtwar which is at zero distance from ZEO office Kishtwar," Bhandari said.
He said that Satya Bushan Sharma, a general line teacher posted at Nagbhatana Kuntwara is attached at HSS Girls Kishtwar "is often seen hovering around the house of the minister and remains busy in performing the minister's household works rather than attending his duties."
"Sunil Sharma after being elected as minister claimed that no teacher shall be spared and there shall be no attachments. I would like to ask him that how these teachers referred above are attached in violation of government order," said Bhandari.
He said, "It seems that Sunil Sharma has made RSS lobby happy by way of making attachments of their associates and kith and kin not only in Education but in other government departments too." He said that the brother of Forest minister along with two other teachers are also attached at district jail Kishtwar.
"I am not against the RSS as it is a well-reputed organisation which is the backbone of our country whose mission is to unite people of our country. But unfortunately the above referred teachers use its name for their vested interest to defame the organization," said Bhandari.
He urged the CEO Kishtwar to detach all such attachments as soon as possible so that students may not suffer for want of teachers. |
