Jammu, Sept 23: Viklang Chhatra Trust (VCT) has launched a statewide programme to provide free artificial limbs to such amputees who also include the victims of mines blast. Satya Pal Saraf, organizer of VCT said here today that the Trust, which is providing such prosthetic aids to the victims of mines blasts, militancy, cross border shelling and accidents since 1982, plans to organise a special artificial limb camp for the fitment of workable lower limbs in near future. The trust has begin registration of the patients for the free fitment of lower limbs requesting the beneficiaries to furnish their name, postal address, leg amputed along with their contact number to the organiser, Viklang Chhatra Trust, 91/8, Manda Akhnoor 181201. The special camp will be held after one hundred patients are registered and the prospected beneficiaries will be informed about the date and place of the camp, he added. |
