Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 23: Dissatisfied with his posting in a less important wing of the state police, ADGP B Srinivas has proceeded on Central deputation. Elevated to the rank of ADGP in the recent past, he, as per the September 16, 2015 Government order No 407, was posted as commissioner, civil-military liaison. Unhappy with his new assignment, he forthwith established contact with his acquaintances at the Centre and got his deputation order issued on the same day, according to police sources. At the Centre, he has been posted as Chief Security Officer of the prestigious NTPC. While his central deputation was only for three years, it could be extended up to five years, sources said. In its order, the Union Home Ministry had asked the state Government to immediately relief the ADGP so that he could charge of his new assignment at the Centre. He is the only IPS officer of 1990 batch in the state. While he has served the J&K police at several important positions, he remained posted in the CID wing for a long time. Sources said though the Government had assured him a good posting, he was transferred to the Home Guards wing. After ADGP DR Doley had proceeded on central deputation, Srinivas was given the additional charge of her department too. |
