Jammu, Sept 23: JK Public School conducted parental session with aim to Student-Parents relationship close to their heart recognising the importance of the adolescent's phase. Dr. Chand Trehan, a pioneer in Counseling and Parental Session, was invited for a Parental Session focusing on the adolescence phase. During her interactive session, she stressed on the parents to spend quality time with their wards. She also emphasised that the issues related to adolescents like discovering identity, growing up issues- physical, mental and emotional, should be recognised and addressed by the parents in time. She feared that if the parent-child relationship is not well maintained the child may succumb to peer pressure to be a victim of drug abuse, HIV-AIDS or some other such menace in the society. She concluded the parental session by addressing the questions asked by the parents. The function attended by Brig. Sukhdev Singh, Director, JK Educational Society and S K Singh, Principal, was appreciated and demand for more such sessions was made. |
