Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 1: Gandhi Global Family today organized the final round of UN Quiz Competition among the students of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Mubarak Mandi, Jammu as part of the 12 day campaign of Peace to Non-Violence initiated by UN Information Centre (UNIC) for India and Bhutan. The function started with a quiz based on UNITED NATIONS and its working, in which a large number of students participated, conducted by Priya. The winners were awarded with prizes. The Principal of the school, Neelam Gandotra expressed her delight in organising such educative events by Gandhi Global Family. She extended her full support to UNIC and GGF in organising such activities in the future as well. According to her, such informative activities would help students widen their knowledge. The other dignitaries who participated and spoke on the occasion were Ashok Koul, Chief Planning Officer, Education Department, Inspector Shakti Sharma, Inspector Kuldeep Khajuria, Noted social worker, R Vijay Magotra, Manish Joshi and Ankush Varma. The function concluded with an open interaction in between the students, teachers and the guests present. |
