Will UN's Srinagar office be declared a Public Authority? SIC to hear complaint on Oct 5 10/1/2015 11:07:42 PM Early Times Report Srinagar, Oct 1: After failing to comply with SIC's notice and the subsequent adjournment of the complaint filed before the State Information Commission (SIC) , the SIC will now hear the complaint against United Nations Military Observer Group's Srinagar office on October 5. A copy of the notice which is available with Early Times has been dispatched to Srinagar based UN Military Observers Office. The notice has been addressed to Chief HR officer cum Administrative head wherein he has been asked to be present at SIC's full bench at its Srinagar office on October 5, 2015. Pertinent to mention that one Mohammad Hussain Bhat a resident of Shalimar Srinagar tried to seek some information from a UN office under Right to Information Act . Hussain had filed an application under J&K RTI Act 2009 by post / email to the office of United Nations Military Observer Group in India & Pakistan (UNMOGIP). While responding Hussain's email the Islamabad (Pakistan) based Chief of Mission Support Nester Odaga Jalomayo informed him that he won't provide any information about the recruitment process. Jalomayo's emailed reply reads as :"We are not going to provide to you our internal procedures on how we do our recruitment. That is not the way the UN works. However as we stated earlier, if you are so grieved, please feel free to take any action that you deem most appropriate to you" Meanwhile Mohammad Hussain filed a complaint before State Information Commission (SIC) who issued a notice to UNMOGIP Srinagar office earlier and asked their representative to be present at SIC on September 16th 2015 , the case was adjourned as the officials failed to appear before the commission.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
