SRINAGAR, Oct 1: Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Thursday paid rich tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary tomorrow. In his message, Mufti Sayeed described Mahatma Gandhi as the tallest leader of his time, who played a leading role in country's independence movement. "He was a true believer in the principles of non-violence, who launched massive campaigns across the country against social injustice," he said. Asking people to take a cue from the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, the Chief Minister said his philosophy and political thought will remain relevant for all times to come. "He was a true leader of the masses, who united the entire country in the fight for securing independence," he said. |
