Protestors resent Police inaction against accused
Broad day light murder of driver

Kishtwar Oct 1: The family of deceased driver Nissar Ahmed who was murdered in broad day light in Kishtwar town by another driver on September 5, 2015 along with people of village Hullar and its
adjoining areas today held a strong protest and block Kishtwar-Padder-Himachal road for more than six hours demanding immediate arrest of two persons involved in the murder of the deceased driver. As per the details available with "Early Times", large number of people today assembled at Berwar at around 9 am and blocked busy road for several hours before local MLC Firdous Ahmed Tak intervened and pacified the agitating people. The agitating family members and the friends alleged that Kishtwar police had given free hand to two conspirators namely Nishad Mir son of Sikandar Mir and Muzzaffar Khan son of Shams Din Khan both residents of Hullar Kishtwar. They said that accused Nishad Mir had threatened to kill the deceased. They said that accused Nishad Mir instigated the main accused Imtiyaz Ahmed son of Mehraj-ud-Din Khan also resident of Hullar who murdered the deceased along with his father Mehraj Din son of Gushar Din Khan and brother Ayaiz Khan while the other accused namely Muzzaffar Khan helped the murderer Imtiyaz Ahmed by dropping him at murder site along with the weapon of offence. They said that both Nishad Mir and Muzzaffar Khan were influential persons and were roaming free despite committing heinous crime like murder. After hearing about the protest, SHO Police Station Kishtwar Sameer Jeelani and Dy. SP HQ Kishtwar Touseef Ahmed also rushed to the spot and tried to pacify the agitating people. Both the police officers denied allegations of the agitating people and the family members, adding that both the accused shall be brought to book. However, Its was only after intervention of MLC Firdous Tak, the protest was called off.It is pertinent to mention that the incident took place at around 10.30 AM on September 5, 2015 when both accused as well as the victim had a meeting to settle out the issue of timing for the departure of the vehicles plying on Kishtwar-Padyarna route. The altercation resulted into heated arguments between the two which ultimately led to the murder of a 30 year old driver Nisar Ahmed and subsequently Kishtwar police registered FIR No. 152 U/S 302 RPC.
