SAmba , Nov 15: A girl today made a bid on life by jumping from a bridge into the river in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
"A girl this morning jumped into the river Basantar from a bridge allegedly to end her life," police here said. They said locals rushed to the spot and rescued the girl adding that she is safe but suffered a fracture in her foot.
She has been identified as Pinky Devi daughter of Rattan Chand, resident of Kalibari village in Samba. She received serious injuries and was rushed to District Hospital, Samba, from where doctors she was referred to Government Medical College (GMC) and Hospital, Jammu.
"We have registered a case and started the investigations," police added. |
