JAMMU, Nov 15: Shaheed Bhagat Singh Club Akhnoor and SAI Club won men and women's titles respectively in the 20th Jammu District Open Kho-Kho Championship which was organised by J&K Kho-Kho Association in support with J&K State Sports Council at Green Field ground, here today.
In the men's final, Bhagat Singh Club defeated SAI Club by a narrow margin of one point with final score being 9-8. Earlier, in the semifinals, Bhagat Club outplayed Aghar Club by one point (6-5) and SAI Club trounced NIS Club 7-5. Similarly, in women's section, SAI Club emerged winner beating NIS Club 10-07. In the semifinals, decided in the morning session today, NIS Club beat Bhagat Singh Club 11-09 and SAI Club registered a 15-12 win against Simbal Camp. Today's matches officiated by the technical penal comprising Gagan Kumar, Pankaj, Vishal, Jagjit, Sumit Kumar and Deepak. |
