Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 25: Continuing probe into the Disproportionate Assets (DA) case of Kewal Sharma, a forest guard and the controversial former PRO to then Deputy Chief Minister, the State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) on today seized two more vehicles including a luxury Bus -Volvo and a Mahindra REXTON another luxury Vehicle and with this recovery atleast six vehicles have been seized worth Rs 1.5 crores while more seizures are in offing. The raids were conducted just after three days when the State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) on Friday during its fresh raids has seized three vehicles including a JCB from his native village in Khour area. According a vigilance officer, the raids were conducted in continuation to its investigation of case FIR 32/2015 against Kewal Sharma PRO of Ex Dy Chief Minister today has seized two more Vehicles which include- a luxury Bus Volvo and Mahindra- REXTON. He added that so far six vehicles have been seized which are worth RS 1.5 crores while more seizures are in offing. Earlier the sleuths from vigilance have seized a mini bus (JK02 BD 5241), a JCB and a tractor trolley during the simulations raids conductedon Friday (Jan 22). Prior to this the State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) had unearthed huge wealth amassed by Kewal Krishan Sharma, a Forest Guard during raids conducted on September 19, 2015 which included four palatial bungalows, plots, several luxury vehicles, cash worth Rs 10 lakh and Rs 4 crore worth banking transactions during 2013-14, when he was virtually in power, working as PRO to then Dy CM. For inept Kewal has been booked in FIR 32/2015 at Vigilance Organisation under Section 5(1) (e) read with 5(2) Prevention of Corruption Act. |
