Future of J&K: What out-of-box solution means for India?

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 25: Former BJP ideologue and LK Advani's confidant Sudheendra Kulkarni, whose face was blackened by Shiv Sainiks in Mumbai in October last for his stand on Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan, has urged the policy planners in New Delhi to think out-of-box to resolve the Jammu and Kashmir issue. "The Modi Government should initiate dialogue with the Congress on Indo-Pak ties and think "out-of- -the-box" to take the peace process forward," he said at a session at the ongoing Jaipur Literature Festival.
"We need to have dialogue with our neigbours. But before that, we need a Congress-BJP dialogue, dialogue within BJP and within the Sangh Parivar. We must think out of the box..." he said, and added that "India needs to resolve the Kashmir issue with an open mind and the solution should be mutually accepted by India, Pakistan and the people of Kashmir as well".
He considered Kashmir as the only factor in the Indo-Pak relations and dismissed the people of Jammu and Ladakh as irrelevant overlooking the fact that they are also people who have their own aspirations, needs and compulsions. The conspicuous absence of any reference to Jammu and Ladakh from his perverted speech was not surprising. For, he belongs to a class of mercenaries whose agenda is to please Pakistan and the Pakistani agents in Kashmir and mint easy money. Remember, before he was cultivated by LK Advani, he was a CPI card holder and CPI doesn't believe in the concept of Indian nation. It, like other Left outfits, considers India a congregation of several nations, with each nation having the right to secede from India.
Earlier on November 28, 2015, Kulkarni had called for autonomy to the people of Jammu and Kashmir while supporting the views of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah's view that India and Pakistan need to accept that the territories under their control can't be snatched away.
It is highly disturbing that we have in India Kulkarnis who in the name of peace works against the national unity and insults the patriotic people of Jammu and Ladakh by vouching for what the Kashmiri leaders stand for.
Kulkarni also said that Pakistan has suffered more by terrorism than India and terrorism should not be an issue as far as the dialogue between India and Pakistan over the Kashmir issue is concerned. "We need to tackle the issue of terrorism which is a common threat for India and Pakistan. More Pakistani people have been killed in the last 10 to 12 years and most of them were Muslims killed by Muslim fundamentalists," he shamelessly said.
Kulkarni did not think it desirable to say that Pakistan is the epicenter of global terrorism or safe haven for terrorists. He didn't say that terrorism is part of Pakistan's State policy, which Islamabad had been using since years now to promote its geo-political and religious interests in the region. He also thought it undesirable to say that India was victim of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.
Such was his approach towards Pakistan, Pakistani-sponsored terrorism and Kashmir. He didn't say a word against Pakistan and what has been happening in Kashmir since 1987. He only considered New Delhi responsible for the deadlock over Jammu and Kashmir and asked it to break the deadlock by adopting his out-of-box solution suggestion.
His out-of-box solution suggestion was as outrageous as it was anti-national. For, India, out-of-box solution means end of Indian presence in Jammu and Kashmir, destruction of the people of Jammu and Ladakh and the negation of the supreme sacrifices which our dedicated soldiers made for the national cause in the State; it would not mean the reintegration of the PoJK and Gilgit-Baltistan, which have under the illegal occupation of Pakistan since 1947-1948, into this part of Jammu and Kashmir.
The point is that there are many Kulkarnis in India, who have connections at right places and who have little or no regard for the Indian nation which has been facing a serious communal problem in the Valley since 1947. It was hoped that the BJP Government at the Centre will break with the past and adopt a pro-active policy against mercenaries, but, sadly, it has not been happening despite the massive nationalist mandate that Narendra Modi got in 2014. What has been happening is just to the contrary. It itself is pampering communalists and separatists in Kashmir. So much so, it has abandoned its core agenda and left the nationalists in Jammu and Kashmir in the lurch. That's the reason Kulkarni and his ilk is doing what they are doing. The worst part was the freedom that the organizers of the so-called Jaipur Literature Festival gave to Kulkarni to convert the occasion into an anti-India event.
