Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 2: In a petition filed by Ajay Singh then SHO Vijaypur seeking quashment of FIR registered by Crime Branch Jammu against the petitioner for the alleged commission of offences under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 RPC and 5 (2) P.C. Act may kindly be stayed or in the alternative the petitioner be granted bail in anticipation of arrest in FIR No. 8/2016 registered with Police Station Crime Branch for alleged commission of offences under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 RPC and 5 (2) P.C. Act, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal of J&K High Court Jammu Wing after hearing Adv Abhinav Sharma appearing for the petitioner issued notice to the respodents and ordered that till the objections have been filed, the investigation in the FIR shall remain stayed. In the petition, petitioner submitted that despite the fact that the FIR bearing No. 31/2015 stood registered against Vinod Rishi for forging the signatures and seal of the petitioner in the capacity of SHO Police Station Vijaypur and despite the fact that the property dealer namely Surjit Singh during the investigation of the aforesaid FIR has made a categoric statement before Magistrate under Section 164-A Cr.P.C., that the receipt was obtained from him under coercion and extending threat by Vinod Rishi and Deputy Superintendent of Police Parvez Chowdhary and at the time of getting the receipt the petitioner was nowhere in the picture, yet the respondent No. 2 registered the impugned FIR bearing No. 8/2016 against the petitioner for the alleged commission of offences under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 RPC and 5 (1) (d) and 5 (2) P.C.
