Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Feb 2 : Taking a suo-motto note of media reports about the alleged abortive bid made by a woman on her life following 'second marriage' by her husband Kuldip Singh, a cop in IRP 7th Bn, the battalion commandant has ordered a probe into the alleged incident. After the woman came to know that her husband was getting married to someone else on January 27 last, despite having signed a 'Marriage Agreement' with her in the court of Munsif, Banihal, on June 22,2011, and having been served a notice by the court of CJM, Ramban, she went to his house. However, after her alleged manhandling by his family members, she consumed poison the same day. She has been undergoing treatment at GMCH, Jammu. Sources alleged that after marrying her in the court, he never allowed her to visit his house. However, when she herself went to his house along with her mother, sister, sarpanch of Kanga and some social workers, they were all manhandled. When on her request for reopening the June 8,2011 case, the judicial magistrate 1st Class, Batote, had directed SSP, Ramban, Randeep Kumar for its re-verification in October 2015, Kuldip had moved the high court. |
