JKTF holds meet, seeks redressal of grievances | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 9 : A high level meeting of Jammu & Kashmir Teachers Forum was held at Jammu under the Presidentship of EJAC, Chairman JKTF, Ab. Qayoom Wani. In the meeting issues pertaining to teachers and students were discussed and government was asked to solve pending issues and problems of teachers like stoppage of examination drama to distance mode RT Teachers for regularization of RT Teachers having distance mode qualification certificates, their time bound promotions timely, release of salaries in favour of SSA, RMSA, KGBV, SBM & NPS Teachers and timely release of GP Fund. Pay anomaly, leave encashment and minimum wages act in favour of contingent paid employees besides providing infrastructure to schools and provision of subject teachers to needy schools before opening of schools in winter zone. Wani said that Director School Education Kashmir is busy in managing transfers which speaks the seriousness of Director (DSEK) regarding issues of the department. Wani said that transfer is a usual work and there is no need for media hype on this issue as such an act will adversely effect the honour of teaching community. It was better to put transfer on website of DSEK, than engaging the human resource for organizing mellas for media hike. Wani said that there is a system and hierarchy in the Department from zonal level to Directorate level with experienced officers and non teaching staff. He said that trade unionism is the voice of employees and suppressed class and nobody on earth can stop us from running the movement and anybody who will try to cause any obstacle in the way, will have to face the brunt. Ab. Qayoom Wani directed all state, provisional, district, zonal leaders and delegates of JKTF to come in thousand in order to participate in the protest programme already announced by EJAC, on 13 , February, so that employees of the state will make a history on that day and those persons who are trying to weeken the employee movement may be given a befitting reply. |
